Owen Sound’s mayoral race is taking shape.
Ian Boddy has officially filed his nomination papers to run for a third term as the city’s mayor.
“I am proud of the positive changes we have made to build our community and make it a better place to live. I will continue to dedicate my time and energy over the next four years, as I have for the past eight years to attract jobs, housing and prosperity,” says Boddy in a statement. “To work that will take the stable, experienced and financially responsible leadership, that I have shown.”
Boddy is the second person to officially file papers for mayor in Owen Sound.
Current city councillor Richard Thomas is also vying for the job.
Municipal and school board elections in Ontario are set to be held Oct. 24.
