Hockey Canada Investigation
Police in London, Ontario announced that an internal review into the handling of the force’s completed investigation into the 2018 alleged sexual assault involving 8 Canadian Hockey League players will begin immediately.
London Police Services chief Steve Williams says the investigation will be conducted to determine what, if any, additional investigative avenues may exist,
The London police investigation into the alleged incident concluded in February of 2019 with no criminal charges filed.
Hockey Canada will stop using an investment fund to settle alleged sexual assault claims.
While not widely known, the National Equity Fund allowed Hockey Canada to settle a number of claims without oversight or the involvement of its insurance company.
A Globe and Mail report this week stated that the National Equity Fund’s assets have exceeded $15 million.
Yesterday, 3 more members of Canada’s 2018 World Junior Team issued statements denying involvement in the alleged incident

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden has agreed on a 2-year, $68 million contract
