The City of Barrie is making big changes to transit and water services to help you through this trying time.
Barrie Transit will be free starting tomorrow (March 20th) until April 6th.
It’s an effort to reduce the financial burden caused by COVID-19.
Under the plan, riders will have to board and exit buses at the rear door, while people facing accessibility issues use the front doors.
Always consult here to keep up to speed on any changes to the schedule.
The downtown terminal remains open.
The City is also ensuring no new late fees or non-sufficient funds (NSF) charges for tax and water/wastewater bills moving forward until June 30th.
You can also opt-out or suspend pre-authorized payment plans for property taxes and your water wastewater bills, but you will have to complete an online form here
The City also says there will be no water shutoffs carried out until June 30th.
