A teen on a paddleboard had to be rescued from Lake Simcoe this weekend.
The OPP were contacted about a paddleboarder in distress near McRae Point Provincial Park on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the 16 year old on the board was pushed out very far from shore by strong winds and was struggling to get back.
Members of the OPP Marine unit located the exhausted teen and escorted him safely back to shore, where his parents were waiting.
Orillia OPP want to remind people to check the weather before heading out on the lake ensuring your comfort and skill level on the water is met.
