A traffic stop in Orillia has resulted in drug and weapons charges.
Police conducted a traffic stop on West St South just before midnight on Monday, when officers took the two occupants into custody.
Police say a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a prohibited knife, along with a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and cash.
One individual was also found to be breaching release conditions from previous charges.
As a result, Police have charged the following individuals:
Yusef YUSEF (20), of Toronto ON, with the following:
- Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by Crime- Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (3 Counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine
The accused was held for a bail hearing on June 28, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie, Ontario.
Tyrell SOOKLALL (20), of  Clarington ON, with the following:
- Possession of Prohibited Device
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime- Under $5000
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- opioid (other than Heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Opioid (other than Heroin)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on August 16, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
