Funding has been secured to help small businesses in Huron County continue to create a stronger online presence.
The funding for the county’s Digital Service Squad has been approved by the Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA), and helps businesses with a number of initiatives, including:
- A digital assessment of the business’ digital literacy;
- Access to a free online video-based digital transformation training program;
- The development or enhancement of a web presence through the activation of easy-to-use tools such as Google My Business and social media;
Applications to the Digital Transformation Grant by assisting with the development of the Digital - Transformation Plan portion of the application.
The program provides these services to businesses at no cost, to help improve their use of digital technologies and enhance their online presence.
$2,500 in funding is also open to businesses towards the development of their digital transformation plan.
Business owners who take advantage of the fund will receive individual guidance from the Digital Service Squad to help improve their social media presence, website, Google business profiles, and increase their capacity through digital transformation.
