Southgate is experiencing growth in both residential and commercial activity.
Deputy Mayor Brian Milne was a recent guest on Home Base on 560 CFOS & he relates there are a number of exciting projects unfolding in the municipality, especially at Dundalk.
Among the residential developments, Milne is enthused about the Flato Glenelg/Southgate Meadows Phase 2 project.
The construction will feature 93 single detached homes along with 62 Town Houses.
Along with the surge in residential activity, Milne is also encouraged about the potential for commercial and industrial firms to locate in Southgate to serve the community.
Green Lid has already started their construction phase which will create a large number of employment opportunities for Southgate residents.
Milne states the goal for Southgate is to be a community to both live & work rather than be seen as a ” commuter community “
