One person is dead after reports of gunshots at a Gravenhurst townhouse complex.
Bracebridge OPP responded to several 911 calls last night at 125 Lofty Pines Place and discovered a deceased person inside a residence.
Officers along with Muskoka EMS secured the area around 7 pm and moved several people to safety prior to the discovery.
One woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and the OPP Canine Unit also attended to assist as the suspect was contained inside his residence.
The suspect was located by officers inside the residence, dead.
Lofty Pines Drive between Muskoka Road North and Walton Street was closed for several hours.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Muskoka Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Section (FIS) and anyone with information is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
