Seven vehicles have been taken out of service, after a Commercial Motor Vehicle blitz in the Blue Mountains.
Almost a dozen officers from various agencies worked cooperatively to achieve significant results:
Inspections (mechanical): 30
Inspections (fuel tax evasion): 18
Vehicles taken out of service: 7
Violations (mechanical): 17
Charges under the Fuel Tax Act (coloured fuel): 1
Charges under the Highway Traffic Act: – 5 (Seatbelt)
1 Drive no licence
