Barrie residents are invited to do some spring cleaning this week for the next curbside collection of textiles.
That includes clothing, linens and shoes.
Donating your items is easy:
- Look up your textile collection day (note that it will not be the same as your regular collection day for garbage, recycling and green bin material).
- Place your items in a bag (preferably a clear bag, but if you don’t have a clear bag, you can use any type of waterproof bag and put a label on the bag that says “textiles”)
- Put your items out on the curb on your textile collection day by 7 a.m., rain or shine.
Visit recyclingrewards.com/barrie or call 1-866-927-3873 to determine your collection day, to review the full list of acceptable items, or if you have questions.
Donations will support the Cornerstone to Recovery, a non-profit, charitable agency that provides community-based recovery programs for individuals and families experiencing and impacted by addiction. This collection links those wishing to part with unwanted reusable goods with those in need of them.
