Owen Sound Attack alumnus Igor Chibrikov has signed a professional contract to play in the Kontinental Hockey League.
A statement from the Attack organization says Chibrikov, 20, has signed a two-year, two-way deal with Spartak (Moscow).
“I believe that this is a great opportunity to continue my hockey career,” Chibrikov says. “It’s a great league and I look forward to showing what I can accomplish in the pro game.”
Chibrikov, a native of Moskva, Russia, played for the Attack for his entire OHL career.
As an overager in the 2021-22 season, Chibrikov provided a steady presence on the blueline for the Attack and produced one goal and 14 assists in 55 games. He first debuted in the 2017-18 campaign.
