Open Air Dunlop kicks off in Barrie this weekend.
Each Saturday, from June to the end of September, Dunlop Street from Mulcaster Street to Maple Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic and open for the public to check out the downtown’s newly constructed streetscape, visit a local patio or shop, and discover the art and historical self-guided tours.
Festivities kick off tomorrow (Sat) at 9am in Meridian Place with a ‘Kid’s Roll & Stroll Parade’ led by the Barrie Police Community. Bring your bike, trike, scooter, skateboard, unicycle, wagon or other people-powered wheeled device or join on foot and walk along.
Then, stick around for James Gray (www.jamesgraymusic.ca/), who will be performing at 2pm in Meridian Place.
Throughout the summer months, the Downtown Barrie BIA will also showcase local community groups, local artists and entertainers, live music, public art activations and, of course, the one-of-a-kind shops and over 25+ patios!
