Georgian College has revamped its Golf Industry Management diploma and is looking for applicants.
The college says it refocused the curriculum with help from employers and industry partners to appeal to those who see golf as a future career.
Students will learn to be golf industry professionals both on and off the greens and gain exposure to a variety of career opportunities, including club manager, golf professional, tournament director, golf equipment sales, entrepreneurship, and more.
“At Georgian, our location amongst some of the best resorts and golf courses in Ontario gives our students and grads a distinct advantage. Our program combines unique curriculum and a paid co-op experience designed to prepare students for a successful career in the diverse and competitive Canadian golf industry,” said Tim Zado, Program Co-ordinator, Golf Industry Management. “It also provides other hands-on learning opportunities like field trips, workshops and industry certifications, as well as networking opportunities before they graduate.”
