The St. Mary’s Mustangs split a pair of games to open the Trillium Cup provincial girls field lacrosse championship in Oshawa.
The CWOSSA-champion Mustangs lost its opening game yesterday 15-11 against Maxwell, then beat Lorne Park 11-4.
St. Mary’s plays in the quarterfinals at the tournament today.
The Owen Sound District Wolves also qualified for the Trillium Cup.
