Charges have been laid, following a crash in Springwater.
The OPP says the two-vehicle collision happened on Highway 27 early Saturday morning.
Police say the passenger of one vehicle fled the scene on foot, while the driver was arrested and the escapee was taken into custody a short time later, thanks to the canine unit.
As a result of the investigation, police say the passenger was eventually released, while a 54 year old man from Mississauga has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving, along with possession of property obtained by crime.
