The OPP Canine unit had to be called in over the weekend, after police say a man crashed his truck and took off into the bush.
A motorist called OPP late Friday night about a truck that hit a utility pole on Rumney Road in Tay Township, but when officers arrived, the driver of the vehicle was not at the scene.
After the canine unit was called in, police say an injured man was located, taken to hospital and then into custody.
A 22 year old from Midland is now facing charges including impaired driving, possession of cocaine and failing to stop after an accident.
