In-person events celebrating Huron County’s Nobel laureate are returning to Wingham for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
The Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story will be holding in-person, as well as virtual, events for the festival’s 20th year.
Guest authors this year include:
– “Animal Person” author Alexander MacLeod
– “The Maid” author Nita Prose
– “My Face In The Light” author Martha Schabas
– “Daughters of the Deer” author Danielle Daniel
– “Looking for Jane” author Heather Marshalls
– “Buffalo is the new Buffalo” author Chelsea Vowel
Virtual events will run Friday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 5th, while in-person events will run Saturday, June 4th.
The Festival was expanded to include programming dedicated just to kids, specifically students in the Avon Maitland District School Board.
