Despite the Ontario election period not being called, the Progressive Conservative candidate for Huron-Bruce has launched her campaign.
Incumbent candidate Lisa Thompson is seeking a fourth term as the representative for the riding.
During her latest term, Thompson has served as Minister of Education, Minister of Government and Consumer Services, and currently Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The last time the provincial riding of Huron-Bruce was represented by another party was in 2011, before Thompson captured the riding from the previous Liberal candidate.
Also running for Huron-Bruce in the 2022 provincial election are Liberal candidate Shelley Blackmore, and NDP candidate Laurie Hazzard.
The Ontario election will be held on or before June 2, 2022.
