The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 489 new COVID-19 cases and one death.
The death was a Simcoe County man over the age of 79.
Today’s update is the first since Friday and also includes 7 new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 26 people hospitalized with the virus throughout the region including 4 in ICU.
