A 41-year-old Gravenhurst man has been charged by Barrie police after an impaired driving call resulted in the seizure of a loaded weapon, drugs and cash.
Police received a complaint Wednesday evening, about a white pick-up truck swerving on Highway 400, and as it left the highway and traveled along city streets.
The truck was stopped in the downtown area and its driver was arrested for impaired driving. Police say a short time later, officers found suspected cocaine, cash, and a loaded handgun in the truck. The man now faces additional drug and weapons charges. The name of the accused wasn’t released by police.
