Saugeen Shores Police say they’ve concluded an investigation into January mischief incidents at Lamont Sports Park and the snowmobile trail route.
Town Police say they received reports on Jan. 28 about several “hate-motivated racial and homophobic slurs” spray-painted on a utility building at Lamont Sports Park and on a nearby snowmobile trail.
At the time, police said signs and markers were damaged and stolen from the trail as well, causing a safety concern for users.
The Saugeen Shores Criminal Investigation Unit commenced an investigation. Police say they identified three youths responsible for the incidents.
“All youths are being held accountable through a formal extra-judicial measure program,” Saugeen Shores Police say in an update.
