A Shallow Lake track and field athlete achieved a podium finish competing at USports nationals for the first time.
Caleb Keeling won silver in the men’s high jump with a personal best of 2.05 metres at the USports National Track & Field Championships in Saint John, N.B. from March 31 to April 2.
Keeling, 20, is a Shallow Lake native and alumni of the Saugeen Track & Field Club.
He attends the University of Windsor on an athletic scholarship and is a member of the varsity track & field team in men’s high jump.
Prior to attending nationals, the 6-foot-6 tall Keeling finished third at the Ontario University Championships.
Keeling was named a USports 2nd Team All Canadian for Track & Field at nationals.
