United Way of Perth-Huron
The United Way of Perth-Huron smashed their 2021 fundraising goal by six-figures.
A fundraising target of $2.002 million was announced in the Fall, the first time the organization has set a goal of over $2 million.
The United Way says their campaign exceeded the target, reaching $2,236,904.
In the wake of the pandemic, the United Way launched the Urgent Needs Funds, which helps those in need pay for bills and groceries.
The United Way also introduced the “Leadership Project” during their latest campaign.
Officials say local YMCA branches will help to improve youth mental health by engaging them with their communities through various leadership opportunities.
