Grey Bruce OPP have laid a stunt driving charge in Chatsworth.
Police say, on March 5th, at about 9:40 a.m., officers were conducting patrols in the Township of Chatsworth.
They say an officer stopped a vehicle after it was found to be travelling at over 170 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a posted 80 km/h speed limit zone.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged a 17-year-old male from Mississauga with Race a motor vehicle – Excessive Speed, contrary to Section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused was issued a provincial summons to attend court, along with a 30-day driver’s licence suspension. The individual’s vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 14 days.
