Orillia OPP have charged five people with drunk driving, after separate incidents over the past few days, including four collisions.
Police say a speeding vehicle was stopped on Highway 11 NB early last Friday morning, when a 17 year old from Ramara Township was arrested for several charges including impaired and stunt driving.
About 24 hours later, police were called to a crash on the highway near Line 1 of Oro-Medonte, where a vehicle hit a hydro pole, resulting in the arrest of a 22 year old man.
Later the same day, the OPP responded to another single motor vehicle collision, where the vehicle struck a tree on Memorial Avenue in Orillia and a 23 year old man was taken into custody.
Just before noon on Sunday, police were called to a single-vehicle rollover in Ramara, which resulted in charges against a 45 year old man from Eldon Township, and then later the same day, a 43 year old man from Severn Township was arrested after a vehicle drove into a trailer on West Street North.
