The OPP Snowmobile Patrol Weekend has resulted in dozens of violations.
Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment and Central Region S.A.V.E. Team of the OPP were on the OFSC trails in the North Simcoe area over the weekend, checking snowmobile operators for incidents of impairment, equipment and trespassing.
The patrols and R.I.D.E. checks resulted in:
14 Improper Muffler violations
5 Speed violations
14 Machine Registration and Drivers Licence violations
5 Insurance violations
5 Trail Permit violations
2 Other equipment related violations
And 1 Liquor violation
However, no snowmobile related crashes were reported.
