Schools in Huron and Perth counties continue to be well below the threshold for alerting parents of COVID-19 outbreaks.
The province announced in January parents would be notified of a potential COVID-19 outbreak when approximately 30 per cent of staff and students in the school are absent.
In Huron and Perth counties, the school with the highest percentage of absenteeism due to COVID-19, as of reporting, is Stratford District Secondary School, at 15.9 per cent.
In Huron County, F.E. Madill leads public schools with 14.2 per cent, while St. Joseph’s School in Clinton leads Huron County’s Catholic schools with 14.7 per cent.
Clinton Public School follows closely, at 14.1 per cent absenteeism.
The Huron County school with the lowest absenteeism rate due to COVID-19 is St. James School in Seaforth, at 4.6 per cent.
