A police officer has been cleared of any wrong-doing after a 26 year old woman was injured during an incident in Barrie.
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, said the woman jumped from a bedroom window from a housing complex on Georgian Drive last November, when police were called about a domestic disturbance.
While conducting a welfare check, the SIU says the woman jumped and was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including a brain bleed and fractures to her pelvis and femur.
Following an investigation, the SIU says there is no evidence to suggest the officer failed to act accordingly and the file has been closed.
