The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 243 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths.
Deaths include a Muskoka woman between the ages of 65 and 79 and a woman from Simcoe over 79.
It’s the first update since Friday and today’s report also includes 4 new hospitalizations.
Currently, there is at least 34 people hospitalized throughout the region with the virus.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received a first vaccine dose, while 81 percent has received two. 48 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
