A 39-year-old Grey County man has been hit with impaired driving charges after crashing his vehicle in Owen Sound Thursday evening.
City Police say a citizen reported the collision in the north end of the city.
According to police, the citizen had concerns about the driver, who claimed he attempted to avoid hitting a dog.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage but no one was hurt.
Police say subsequent breath tests revealed the driver’s blood alcohol level more than 3.5 times the legal limit.
The 39-year-old Grey County man was charged with impaired over 80 and his licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
