The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 133 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths.
Deaths include a man between 65 and 79 years old and a woman over the age of 79. Both were from Simcoe County.
Today’s update also includes 5 new hospitalizations – there are at least 42 people who are hospitalized with the virus currently in the region.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received a first vaccine dose, while 81 percent has received a second. 47 percent f the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
