The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 239 new COVID-19 cases and 1 death.
Today’s update is the first since Friday. It also includes 2 new hospitalizations.
At least 43 people are hospitalized throughout the region due to the virus. 8 people are in the ICU in Simcoe-Muskoka with COVID-19.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received a first vaccine dose while 81 percent has received a second. 47 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
