The Ambassador Bridge has reopened.
One of the nation’s busiest border crossings between Canada and the United States has been shut down for nearly a week, due to anti-mandate protesters blocking the bridge.
The Canada Border Services Agency said last night that traffic was finally flowing normally again across the bridge between Windsor and Detroit.
Police Chief Pamela Mizuno said officers have made between 25 and 30 arrests for mischief so far, while five vehicles have been seized and seven others have been towed away in an effort to clear protesters from the area and resume the delivery of goods between Canada and the U.S..

Meanwhile, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson says an agreement has been reached with the president of the “Freedom Convoy” demonstration to remove trucks and vehicles out of residential neighbourhoods, starting at noon today.
The mayor said he has agreed to meet with the organizers to discuss their concerns, if they meet his conditions.
Thank you @marcomendicino @BillBlair for the increase in resources to help maintain public safety in Ottawa’s downtown core that has been under a great amount of stress over the last two weeks due to the illegal occupation by protesters. 1/2
