The OPP have sorted out the charges after a stolen van was stopped when police flattened its tires on Highway 400 in Barrie.
The van was spotted in Midland by OPP Wednesday morning, and a few minutes later in Penetanguishene. Officers kept tabs on the vehicle as it traveled through Springwater Township, before they deployed a tire deflation device just north of Barrie.
The van went off the road, and the driver was arrested while trying to take off on foot.
A 22 year-old Barrie man faces nine criminal charges and a Highway Traffic Act charge for driving a vehicle with no license.
