If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids on Family Day, you can sign up for the World’s Largest Virtual Cooking Class!
The family-friendly event is taking place online at 5p.m.ET on Monday, February 21, 2022 and will be MC’d by our very own Laura Hampshire.
During the event, families from around the world can participate in a virtual cooking class from the comfort of their own kitchens with Chef Julian Pancer (The Chef Upstairs), who will teach you how to make the Perfect Pantry Risotto!
Just register online in order to receive an email with all the ingredients you’ll need for the big event, which is completely free to attend, but donations to the Daily Bread Food Bank or your local food bank are strongly encouraged.
During the event, families from around the world can participate in a virtual cooking class from the comfort of their own kitchens with Chef Julian Pancer, who will teach you how to make the Perfect Pantry Risotto! It’s a classic rice dish that you can jazz up with many pantry basics – including inexpensive items, so anyone can take part.
“We wanted to create a fun activity that everyone can take part in on Family Day,” says Chef Julian. “The pandemic, loss of social and family contacts and lockdowns have been hard to get through so we came up with an idea to bring everyone together virtually. We’re also going to make history on February 21st because no one currently holds the record for the Largest Virtual Cooking Class, so we’re going to try to break last year’s numbers.”
There will also be special guests and plenty of entertainment, including a performance by Mega Magic and musician Marshall Dane!
