The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 324 new COVID-19 cases today and 8 deaths.
Deaths include five men and three women in and between the age ranges of 18 and 34 and Over 79 years of age.
Today’s update – the first since Friday – also includes 10 new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 48 people hospitalized across the region due to the virus.
To date, 86 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received a first vaccine dose while 82 percent has received a second. 47 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third booster dose.
