The East and West Walkways in Downtown Midland are being given names and you can help!
The Town is completing elements of the Love Your Laneways project and transforming the walkways and laneways in the downtown core into safe, welcoming, vibrant and visually appealing environments.
The project includes paint, benches, planters, bollards, lighting, murals and naming the West walkway between Arcade and Jory Guardian Pharmacy and Creative Cut, as well as the East walkway between TD Canada Trust and Bell.
Until this Friday, February 11, 2022, residents can submit their suggestions using the Suggest a Name! tool by clicking here, along with a brief description of why you think this should be the selected name. You can indicate if the name would be more appropriate for the East or West side or either.
There is no limit to how many names one individual can propose.
Suggestions must refrain from the use of profanity, advertising, branding and/or promotion of contempt against anyone.
