The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 176 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths.
Deaths include three Simcoe County residents, a woman and two men over the age of 79 and two men from Muskoka over 79.
Today’s update also includes 2 new hospitalizations – there are currently 41 people hospitalized throughout the region with the virus
To date, 86 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received its first vaccine dose while 82 percent has received its second. 47 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received its third booster dose.
