The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 270 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths.
Deaths include a woman from Muskoka over the age of 79 and a man and woman between the ages of 45 and 64 in Simcoe.
Today’s update also includes 7 new hospitalizations – currently, there are about 41 people hospitalized with the virus throughout the region.
To date, 86 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received its first vaccine dose, while 81 percent has received its second. 46 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third booster dose.
