A 4-month-old baby remains in hospital following an incident in Orillia.
The OPP says paramedics responded to a call for an infant in distress at a home in the city early last Thursday morning, when the baby was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries and remains in stable condition.
As a result of the investigation, police say a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
The accused has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to be in court on Thursday.
However, police say the identity of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
