The Province is providing $50,000 to a partnership between the Town of Gravenhurst and the Bracebridge OPP for CCTV cameras in an area of Gravenhurst.
It will help the OPP expand CCTV surveillance into Muskoka Road and Gull Lake Park where there are currently no cameras.
The money will buy 60 outdoor bullet and eyeball cameras to help the OPP detect and deter crime there before it’s committed and to expedite investigations.
