The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 245 new COVID-19 cases today and three new deaths.
The deaths include two men from Muskoka over the age of 79 and a Simcoe County woman over 79.
There are 680 newly resolved cases since the last update and 14 new hospitalizations.
42 people are currently hospitalized in the region due to the virus.
To date, 85 percent of the region’s over 5 population has received a first vaccine dose while 80 percent has received two. 41 percent of the region’s over 18 population has received a third/booster dose.
