A person wanted on criminal charges in the United States has been arrested in Armour Township near Burk’s Falls.
December 31st OPP arrested a 54-year-old Armour man after responding to a disturbance on Chetwynd Road.
He was released January 1st after a bail hearing, but the police then learned he’d given a false name and was illegally in Canada and wanted in the US for possession of firearms.
January 8th, he was arrested again and now faces charges including obstructing and resisting police, careless storage, and unauthorized use of a firearm.
He was released to Toronto Police on an immigration warrant and had a court date set in Sundridge.
