It’s another single-day record for COVID-19 case counts in Simcoe-Muskoka.
Today the local health unit recorded 229 new cases in the region – yesterday held the previous record when 197 new cases were recorded.
29 of today’s cases are children.
Today’s update also includes 73 newly resolved cases and no new hospitalizations or deaths.
To date, 88 percent of the region’s over 12 population has received its first vaccine dose while 85 percent has received its second.
