It’s a day into winter and Grey Bruce is being welcomed into the season with snow.
Snow squall warnings and watches are in place across the region and forecasters expect 10 plus centimetres will fall and areas that experience heavier snow will see up to 25 centimetres.
Squalls have already developed in several areas where warnings in place, including Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Hanover, Dundalk, and southern Bruce and Grey counties.
The snow is expected to persist through this evening.
Other parts of Grey Bruce, including Owen Sound, could have squalls beginning later this afternoon.
Environment Canada says the snow squalls are expected to weaken into flurries tonight as the winds diminish.
Travel is expected to be hazardous through the day today with sudden near zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow.
