A dispute over wearing a mask has led to the arrest of a Midland Teen.
The OPP says a teen customer was at a store on Midland Avenue early Monday morning, when he became upset with an employee after being reminded to wear a mask inside the building.
Police say threats were uttered towards the employee and upon leaving the business the teen displayed what appeared to be a firearm.
Following an investigation, the teen was arrested a short time later and police say a weapon was also seized as evidence.
The youth was charged the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats
- Assault
The accused was held in custody for a video bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 21st.
