A wellness check has led to the seizure of a quantity of prescription pills and a 9mm Glock handgun in Midland.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP received a call from the public for a wellness check of a family member on Sunday night.
Police say the investigation led them to a Hugel Avenue hotel where the gun and drugs were discovered.
A 21 year old Springwater woman and a 20 year old man of Tay Township were charged and released on an recognizance for a variety of Criminal Code of Canada firearm related and Controlled Drug and Substances Act offences. They and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
