A R.I.D.E. check in Tiny Township has resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana.
Officers stopped a Ford pick-up truck on Concession Road 4 and Crossland Road on Friday night, when they detected an odour of cannabis while speaking with the driver.
Police say an investigation led to the seizure of two large bags containing over 8 pounds of pot.
Charged is Uri AGARUNOV 42 years of Innisfil with the following offences.
- Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place contrary to the Cannabis Act
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
- Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
The accused was released from police custody on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan 27, 2022
