Orillia OPP has charged the driver of a vehicle that was driven into Lake Simcoe.
On December 11th just after 5 pm, officers were notified a vehicle had entered the north end of Lake Simcoe with two occupants.
Police found both occupants onshore.
Turns out the driver was impaired and was subsequently charged.
24-year-old Mackinnon Crossman of Georgetown was charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Dangerous operation
· Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
· Causing a disturbance
· Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on January 11th in Orillia court.
