An Orillia man is facing an assault charge after an incident with an OPP officer in Bracebridge.
Saturday at 3:15 am a Bracebridge OPP officer noticed a person acting suspiciously near a Wellington Street convenience store.
The officer tried to talk to the man, but the man responded with hostility and refused to comply with the officer’s demands.
This led to a struggle and the man’s arrest.
The 32-year-old was charged with being intoxicated in a public place, assault with intent to resist arrest and resisting a peace officer.
He’ll be in Bracebridge court June 23rd to answer to his charges.
